It’s like a real sculpture,” explains Gaultier. “The flap, straps, and clochette seem to have been chiseled in the raw material, the result of unbelievable craftsmanship.” The updated version of the celebrated Birkin does not have flashy hardware to cater to the desire to be inconspicuous while shopping. Gaultier nailed the point creating glamour without the glitz. And the cheekiest thing about this bag is that although it may look understated, it is actually about the same price as a standard leather Birkin.
